Tips to promote your Brand by Webinar

Webinar is new stuff compares to previous topics over my <<Promote Your Brand by Online Marketing>> series. Not like Email Marketing, Database Marketing, Online Ad Marketing, Webinar is getting popular and widely used in the recent couple years. Just like on grand marketing event, Webinar is playing important role in the new Internet-virtual-world. Since it’s very cost efficiency, more and more marketers increased investment on it.

I was blogged two articles of Webinar tips. One is Webinar invitation tips, another is focus on how to host a webinar. Today, I would like to share some tips to use Webinar to promote brand.

1. Get appropriate webinar tool/platform. I recommend 2 tools for your reference. Webex, very easy to organize, help you to host fast and stable webinar. GoToWebinar, sub-product of GoToMeeting, never used it before, you can try free trial for both of them by checking on their website.

2. Customize your webinar. Most of the Online Meeting and Webinar platforms provide the feature of customization. It’s great opportunity to promote brand, upload companies logo, highlight keywords and slogan of current campaign, it do will help to emphasize the message you want to deliver to attendees.

3. Co-branding with Big Brand. Internet is a equitable world. It’s more easy to get chance to place your logo just next to big brand which hardly happened in real world. Makes your webinar topic unique and interesting, send invitation to big companies to offer free speaker and promote opportunities. You will have highly chance to co-branding with them.

4. Play advertisement video in the waiting period. Most of you may already aware that neither webinar nor online meeting will start on time sharply. Cleverly use the minutes before webinar kickoff to play brand ad video will help to get perfect impression.

5. Survey during the break session. Post a survey during the break session with insentive program will not only help you to understand attendees, but also a great chance to win more subscriptions.

6. Post-Webinar letters. Post webinar letter not just equals to Thank You letter, but more then that. Offer some valuable whitepapers to win them as subscriber, send them email regularly with either newsletter or discount promotion. Believe me, you will fall in love with the profit you can get from it.

Tips to promote your Brand by Online Ad Marketing

For today’s chapter of <<Promote Your Brand by Online Marketing>> series, I would like to talk about the most basic but interesting topic: Tips to promote your Brand by Online Ad Marketing.

I bet everyone knows about online advertisement, half of you may already published your own online banners over the Internet to drive traffic.  I just like to share some points which may help to enhance Online Ad Marketing performance & also promote brand.

1. Make your Online Ad Banner Attractive. Our goal to publish Advertisement is to promote product and brand unless target audience noticed this Ad and click through to check the details. Makes your banner attractive could help to drive more attention and improve Click Through Rate.

2. Call to Action on Banner. You do expect visitor notice your Ad and click it, do you? Put a Strong Call to Action button over the banner and give a reason to your visitor, will definitely help to increase CTR.

3. Keep Ad personalize. Some Ad publishers embed codes behind flash Ad banner to show personal greeting message base on IP address and cookie. Per my experience on that, most of them obtained tremendous successful CTR.

4. Being  relevant between Online Ad and Landing Page. Keep landing page consistent with Banner is very important. Think about when visitor being attracted by Banner which showing ‘Email Marketing eBook’ with call to action button as ‘Free download’, He clicked it, and being lead to ‘Application sale page’ instead of register-to-get-free-book page. What do you think the conversion will be? will it be high? definitely NO. Click to check the Ad Banner showing on this blog to see if the landing page are consistent. I really expect they are.

5. Keep online Ad series consistent. When designer creating banners in different format and different size. Remind them to keep those consistent, help visitor to differentiate your Ad easily. It’s YOU, instead of other companies. IBM is very good at it.

6. Interaction Online Ad (Data capture). Some of Ad publishers aim to drive traffic to their website and encourage visitor to register, have you ever considered to show registration form on your Online Banner? what I can tell the Data Capture on flash Ad banner really works!

Tips to promote your Brand by Search Engine Marketing

Search Engine Marketing (SEM) is one important chapter of <<Promote Your Brand by Online Marketing>> series, I would like to share some simple Tips to promote your Brand by Search Engine Marketing.

1. Get your website indexed by Search Engine. If you want people find your products, or you want to increase your brand’s exposure over Search Engine, Get your web pages indexed is must. Clean up your sitemap and submit it to search engine is the basic rule you need to follow.

2. Optimize your website for Search Engine. Search Engine Optimize (SEO) will bring you more organic traffic which means more product & brand’s exposure opportunities. Optimize web pages not only good for Search Engine to index them, but also benefit visitors to find information which they need in a quick way.

3. Balance SEO & PPC. SEO suit for website in a long run. PPC always used for short-term marketing campaign’s landing page and mini-site.  Combine them together and use it wisely could help you to gain more traffic with reasonable cost.

4. Google not equals SEM. Google is NOT the only one Search Engine, although he is the biggest one. Optimize and put investment on other Search Engines is also important for SEM, like Yahoo, Bing, and some country-level local SEs..

5. Hire professional people or outsource SEM. Believe me, Search Engine Marketing do requires professional people to be involved. It’s not as simple as register a account in Social Network. SEM requires keep optimizing website pages and monitoring biding price of keywords. If you have no resource or ability to do SEM, I highly suggest to hire professional people or outsource to company which provide SEM service. It’s necessary.

The above 5 tips are just highlight of SEM principle instead of drill down to technical level. I know there are tons of introduction and courses over the internet, like ‘how to increase your ranking’, ‘How to optimize your Keywords group’, ‘How to be pro in SEO & PPC’, grab one or two which you may interested, you will learn more from them in technical way.

Tips to promote your Brand by Social Network Marketing

To continue my <<Promote Your Brand by Online Marketing>> series, I would like to share the Tips to promote your Brand by Social Network Marketing today.

Social Network Website is the best place to promote brand. You can earn tons of impression for your brand, and it’s all FREE! Especially good for Small Business and start-up company, because you have the same weight with those huge brands at Social Network platform. Enjoy it!

Below are the steps and tips:

1. Accounts Registration. Register accounts at those social network platforms to start your social media journey. Some Social Network websites are must: Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, Linkedin…

2. Keeps your accounts consistent.
- Account name & Display name consistent. e.g. I use ‘XDXYeMarketing’ as all my accounts register name, and ‘XDXY eMarketing Tips’ as my displaying name.
- Profile picture consistent. Keeps your profile picture consistent within all social media platforms. You can use either real people’s picture or logo of company as display picture to make sure people can recognize you easily.
- Bio consistant. Keeps your bio updated in very social network websites.

3. Make friends as more you can. Do a quick search on social media to find out who might interest in your product, and send invitation to ask to be friend with them.

4. Join related groups. There are many groups relate to your industory. Join them, make friends with group members, start discussion, being helpful at group.

5. Be informative. Do not just update your product information in social media, and answer others’ question,while sometimes provide entertainment stuff might be a wise choice.

6. Call to action on your status udpate. Put a link at the end of your status update, plus strong call to action slogan like “Download it for FREE!”. You will get more traffic from it.

7. Act professional. Act as you are the top in your industory, people like to be friends with model and follow heros. So act as the one they admire.

Use Social Media is kind like joining a party, you make friends and introduce yourself, listen what people are talking about. If they are interested in you, invite them to your home (your website or blog), and they will start to know you. Maybe not sale product to them right now, but believe me if they know what you sale by talking to you or visit your website, they will back to you whenever they have related demand.

Tips to promote your Brand by Database Marketing

As the second topic of <<Promote Your Brand by Online Marketing>> series. I would like to share some Tips to promote your Brand by Database Marketing today.

Database Marketing is foundation of Online Marketing, across all Marketing tactics. Promote brand means deliver the right message to the right person. Who is your target audience? Who is the one need to know your brand? Dig them out from your database.

Below steps and tips for your reference:

1. Build Database.Build up your own customer database, you can collect data from your website registration, your social media friends, your twitter’s followers, and those who already brought your product. Catch their information as much as you could.

2. Key Information. Contact, Company, Transaction. Those 3 are key information you need to include in your database. Contact and Company are critical fields for customer touch. And transaction information are good for you to analyse customers’ behaviour.

3. Segmentation. You don’t want waste your marketing dollar at wrong market. Segment your database, deliver different messages to different group, aka, you can not tell the same story to teenagers’ group and their parents’ group.

4. Propensity to Buy Model. Since you have transaction log in your database, you can build up your own propensity to buy model. Leverage score card, you can easily find out who has the most potential to buy your product.

5. Keep Data Updated. It cost much more to gain a new contact as it retain an existing one. Update your data regularly, you don’t want your mail goes nowhere but just lay on client mail box. Keep your database clean to make sure the message can be delivered to the right target.
